US baby boomers spur sales in the Mexican Caribbean

Are you looking for the next HOT market where real estate is humming? With a flat US market, allot of boomers are looking to the neighbor south...Mexico!

From just about every major brand 4 and 5 star hotels to international investors are either buying, building or planning to build what is becoming know as the "Mexican Caribbean".

These aqua-marine waters and white sandy beaches are now becoming an easy to get to, favorite for North Americans. The Europeans have discovered this about 10 years ago and created a unique Euro-Latin energy and charm in the charming village of Playa del Carmen.

With a lot of options in all price ranges becoming available, this new found paradise offers more than a 2 week vacation, but rather a life enhancement lifestyle. With second home options from condos, condo/hotels and villas complete with your own private staff to maintain your lush landscaping and do all the cooking and cleaning for about $10-15 per day...now that's living.

Because of the low cost of construction in Mexico compared to the US or other Caribbean destinations, this recreational mecca still has great value. It is becoming a golf and yachting destination which is what spurred the Cabo San Lucas phenomenal boom of astronomical prices.

Cancun has recovered from the wrath of Wilma in November 2005 with not just a face lift but rather a trendy transformation Miami style, with every hotel putting millions of dollars to upgrade with cool spas, culinary schools and chic beach clubs.

Direct flights of more than 80 per day from the Cancun airport makes getting there convenient and inexpensive. With the third terminal expansion opening up this summer with even more direct flights to most international cities of the US, Canada and Europe.

The boomer buying phenominum is expected to drive the mild climate destinations with recreational outdoor activities for some time to come.
